peter pan: Oktober 2013

Seit unserem Haul Out sind nun schon wieder 11 Wochen vergangen, in denen wir viel gesehn und erlebt haben. Von Rhode Island ging es nach Massachusetts. Zuerst statteten wir den Elisabeth Island- die der Forbes Fmilie gehören- einen Besuch ab, bevor es weiter nach Martha's Vineyard ging. Hier noch schnell das Filmset des 'Weissen Hai' besucht und dann ging es auch schon wieder zurueck in Richtung Westen. Nach Blog Island, Fisher Island, Niantic und Milford in Connecticut ging es im Long Island Sound nach Cold Spring Harbor. Von dort aus weiter nach Port Washington und dann durch New York nach Atlantic City. Ein Stopp im herrlichen Cape May, bevor es in die Delaware Bucht ging und weiter bis nach Annapolis in der Chesapeake Bay. Hier sind wir nun seit drei Wochen, geniessen die Ruhe, arbeiten an Peter Pan und kuscheln uns an kalten Abenden vor unserem Ofen ein.

In the past 11 weeks after our Haul Out we travelled and saw a lot. We sailed from Rhode Island to the Elisabeth Islands in Massachusetts. After a few windy days in Hadley Harbor we continued to Woods Hole and Martha's Vineyard where we visited the film set of 'Jaw'. We sailed back west to Blog Island and entered from there the tidal Long Island Sound with stop overs in Fisher Island, Niantic and Milford before we sailed to Cold Spring Harbor to meet our friends. Next stops where made in Port Washington, New York, Atlantic City and Cape May where we enjoyed beautiful days in warm Fall temperatures. We motorsailed through the Delaware Bay to the Chesapeake Bay. We are now since three weeks in Annapolis working on Peter Pan, going sightseeing and enjoying the peace of the cold nights in front of our big heater.
